Name: Caitlin Gilliman
Caitlin is a soccer player with a “never-say-die” attitude. She has hearing difficulties so she has had to adapt skills in order to compensate for this. With a gifted sense of vision to read play ahead of where it is Caitlin has taught herself to play by shadows. Caitlin can’t hear anything from behind so she uses shadows cast by the sun to see where her opponents are. Her sheer dedication during the last 3 years has result in her co-captaining the U12 Qld Schoolgirls soccer team at the Australian Championships to win gold. She also represents the Sunshine Coast Premier League (Rebels) U13 side (2 age groups above her own) in both indoor and outdoor soccer. Caitlin strives to become a member of QAS which is necessary for entry into the Matilda side.
