It’s been a busy, busy year at Aim for the Stars. Over the last few months we had a Leadership Forum in Melbourne with Julia Gillard, presented a Gala Dinner (with 400 guests – our biggest ever), welcomed 32 sisSTARs to Sydney for the Stars2Leaders Workshop AND introduced Trish Crews, as our new CEO. It feels like we’re on a roll!
The challenge now is to keep the momentum going. AND… this is where you come in! We want your help to launch the 2017 Scholarship Program. All you need to do is reach out to your peeps, your community, your network AND tell them about the Program. Think who you know online and offline. A number of resources have been developed to make the job easy (see below).

The Layne Beachley ‘Aim for the Stars’ Foundation has just launched its Scholarship Program AND they’re looking to support FABULOUS women who have dream.
The scholarship includes a $4,000 grant, one year mentoring and a two-day Stars2Leaders workshop with Layne Beachley herself. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. The program is open to sisSTARS across Australia, from the following fields - Science and Technology, Art, Music and Entertainment, Business, Leadership and Community, Environment and Sustainability and sport.
Since its 2003 launch, Aim for the Stars has transformed dreams into reality for more than 400 females Australia-wide in a diverse range of areas including opera, ballet, marine science, diving, literacy education, rally driving, BMX, equestrian and hockey.
Layne Beachley says, “‘Aim for the Stars’ is my way of giving back to a community that supported me, when I was working extreme hours, had little time to train and had the world championships in my vision. A $3,000 grant was the catalyst moment which allowed me to travel internationally and for the first time not sleep in my surf bag but in a hotel”
