Pursuit: Sailing

When did you start? I started sailing when I was 8 with my cousin but competitively I was selected in the Australian Development Squad at age 16

Career highlight or biggest achievement? In 2010 my team and I won the final stage of the Sailing World Cup at the Olympic venue in Weymouth UK. More recently our new team won Silver Medal at our first World Cup event for 2012

What is your dream? To win the Gold Medal at the 2012 London Olympics, Women’s Match Racing event.

Who or what have inspired you?

Who's your hero? I don’t really have any one person that I call my hero

Any other special talents? I love to go to the snow and skiing in the winter!

Favourite Music? I like any music that puts you in a good mood for the day.

Favourite Movie? The Italian Job is a movie that I can’t get sick of watching

Favourite Food? Mum’s home cooked Roast

How the grant will help you/how will you use the money? The grant will help me in a number of ways, with the money going towards my first flight to Europe this year, as well as some accommodation costs.
