Kristen is a talented athlete who has represented her region since 8 year of age and her State from 11 years. Kristen at age 14 is the No.2 in Australia for the fifteen year old division. To retain her ranking involves substantial travel and it is both disappointing and frustrating for her to miss tournaments due to lack of finances and where she resides in Central West NSW. Kristen will use the grant money to assist her with travel and accommodation at the Nationals and Championship events in 2011 and is hoping to take the No. 1 ranking after Nationals in April. Kristen aspires to securing a Women’s World ranking.
When did you start? Started hitting at age 4, started playing Junior Squash at the age of 7.
Career highlight or biggest achievement? National No. 1, 2008, 2009, (13yr girls). State No. 1 for the last 6 years. Winner of Australia Day Awards - Junior Sportsperson of 2009, Parkes. Representing NSW for the last 4 years at the Australian Junior Championships.
What is your dream? To one day represent Australia and to become the No. 1 in the world.

Who's your hero? David Palmer, (former world No.1-Squash)
Any other special talents? Tennis, Hockey and Touch Footy.

How the grant will help you/how will you use the money? It will be a great help towards the costs associated with accommodation when attending tournaments.
