Name: Ashtyn Hiron
Pursuit: Kick Start Grant - Lacrosse
| At the age of only 13, Ashtyn is the youngest member of the Australian Womens U19 Lacrosse Squad. Still classed as an amateur sport, Ashtyn has found it very hard to attract any sort of sponsorship or funding which makes it incredibly expensive to afford to compete in as many national tournaments as possible to maintain her position on the Australian squad. Renowned for her intuitive game knowledge way beyond her years, Ashtyn has recently been selected in the Australian U19 team to play in the World Series in Germany in August 2011. |
