.At the age of 14, Lishan is an outstanding young sportsperson who has excelled at the highest levels in the sport of fencing. She is an aspiring and hard working athlete who has become one of the leading junior fencers in Australia. In 2009, Lishan was the youngest fencer to ever win the Open State Championships, the youngest fencer to represent Australia in the Junior Commonwealth Championships in Malaysia as well as the highest placed Australian. As well as being the youngest fencer to represent Australia at the Asian Junior and Cadet in Singapore she was also the youngest fencer in the whole competition. Lishans ultimate goal is to represent Australia at the Olympic Games.

When did you start?
At the beginning of 2003 when I was in year 2.

Career highlight or biggest achievement?
2009: Winning both Cadet (U/17) and Junior (U/20) National Championships in the same year.

What is your dream?
To one day represent Australia at the Olympic Games

I play the saxophone

How the grant will help you/how will you use the money?
It will help me financially be able to fund overseas trips for training and competition.
