Jessica is a member of the Australian Ballet Schools International Training Programme, Level 3 and Queensland Ballet Junior Extension Programme. Jessica has been studying Royal Academy of Dance examinations and has passed both major exams to date with Distinction. In 2008 Jessica was chosen to perform with the QLD Ballet Company and also won the Australasian Jazz Scholarship and SODA (Society for Dance Association) Junior Ballet in Sydney which is one of the most pretigious ballet competitions Australia wide. Jessica’s goal is to become a professional dancer in the Australian Ballet Company. Her quote “Don’t practice till you get it right, practice till you can’t get it wrong!”.
WHEN DID YOU START?
I started ballet classes at the age of 3 years old at Strictly Dance.
CAREER HIGHLIGHT AND BIGGEST ACHIEVMENT?
My biggest achievement is to attain 100% for my RAD Intermediate foundation exam. I have two career highlights which are hard to separate. The 1st is winning S.O.D.A. Classical Ballet competition and the 2nd was winning a 2 week scholarship to Hollywood to train with Hollywoods best dancers and choreographers.
WHAT IS YOUR DREAM?
To become a Professional Ballet Dancer.
WHO OR WHAT HAVE INSPIRED YOU?
WHO'S YOUR HERO?
Darcey Bussell is my hero, she was the youngest Principal Ballerina with the Royal Ballet in London. I hope to one day follow in her footsteps, meet and attend a class with her.
ANY MORE SPECIAL TALENTS?
I excell in all genre's of dance including jazz, lyrical, contemporary, slow modern, song and dance, national and demi-character. I also can sing and have won a number of Singing Eisteddfod and Awards.

HOW THE GRANT WILL HELP YOU/HOW WILL YOU USE THE MONEY?
There are so many expenses I can use the grant for but i Have chosen the following: $600 Queensland Ballet Junior Extension Programme (Cover classes 12 mths) $400 The Australian Ballet School Intensive Training (6 - 9 April, 2009) $500 Will pay the balance owing at Brisbane School of Distance Education for my school fees.
