Georgia lives in regional SA and dreams of excelling in athletics in the 200m and 400m events at State and National level and hopes to be selected to represent SA at the Pacific Games this year. Living in the country means that Georgia doesn’t have access to proper facilities, coaches or competitors that match her level. In order to have sessions with her coach and to compete she must travel to Adelaide (16 hours round trip by car). The grant will be used toward the costs associated with travel and allow Georgia to meet with her coach more regularly. Georgia believes “pain is temporary, pride is forever”.
