Emma has only been involved in speed ice skating for the past 7 years and at the tender age of 14 is already making her mark in the sport. Emma took out first place at the Junior British Open for her age group and followed it up with selection into Project 10, a training team of eight girls aiming to qualify for the relay team at the 2010 Winter Olympics making them the first ever Australian Women’s Olympic relay team. Emma will use the grant toward purchasing new ice skating boots and blades.
