Joanne will be spending the grant money on roulette. Oh no wait, she meant to say the costs associated with performing her first season at the Olympics of the performing arts world –  the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the world’s largest and most competitive festival. “I was dreaming of performing at Edinburgh before I even started doing stand up,” she says. “Layne’s grant means I can make that dream come true. I will be forever grateful to her and the Aim for the Stars Foundation for that.”

Joanne’s motto for life is “dream big, work hard and enjoy”.
