Keziah was three years old when she decided she wanted to be a rhythmic gymnast; she has not looked back since. An overall ranking of third in Australia, National Champion for ribbon for three consecutive years, five times Queensland State Champion, Keziah is dedicated and focussed. Her mother works four jobs to see that Keziah has every opportunity to achieve her goals. Having just been invited to train and compete in Moscow, this financial grant will take her one step closer to her goal.
WHEN DID YOU START?
4 years old
CAREER HIGHLIGHT AND BIGGEST ACHIEVMENT?
- Being named in the Australian team for the Trans Tasman Challenge at 9 years of age in 2001, we won gold.
- Winning the All around National Champion Title for Stage 3 at 10 years.
- Being a member of the Australian Team for Pacific Alliance in Hawaii in 2004.
- Attending a training camp overseas. It was so hard but I improved so much that It was worth it.
- Australian Youth Olympic Festival was awesome. I came 3rd in ribbon and was the highest contributor to the team Silver medal.
- Winning State Titles with 4 gold medals for my 6th year.
- At Nationals this year I won My fourth National Title in Ribbon.
WHAT IS YOUR DREAM?
To represent Australia at the Olympics.
WHO OR WHAT HAVE INSPIRED YOU?
My faith holds me strong, but learning from the best like Anna Bessonova, Irina Tchachina and Vera Sessina is awesome.
WHO'S YOUR HERO?
My mum because she works so hard in everything she does.
